Massimo Bottura's call to "respect food and not waste it" highlights how valuing every morsel can address inequities in food distribution. Reducing waste transforms excess into shared resources, paving the way for dignity, hope, and equitable access to meals for all.
This project tackles the urgent issues of food waste and global hunger by promoting a culture of respect toward food and advocating for the redistribution of surplus to ensure fair access to meals. Inspired by Massimo Bottura's powerful message to "treat food with respect," the initiative emphasizes mindful consumption and the impact of sharing as a means to drive social change. Read more
Waste Less- Share More
To illustrate the concept of "distribution," relatable metaphors including a hot pot, turntable, and sushi conveyor belt are employed—each symbolizing the collective effort required to achieve zero hunger. These metaphors emphasize how collaboration can ensure food reaches those in need. All three models feature six small circles, symbolizing the equal distribution of resources across the six continents of the world.
At its core, the project advocates for sustainable practices, a commitment to reducing waste, and a collective pledge to share more and waste less. By embracing these values, we move closer to a future where food is respected, resources are shared, and no one goes hungry.
